March Family Activities

Hello everyone! As a Canadian, living in Ontario, I can safely say that we've endured a LOT of snow.
While I'm grateful for the chance to skate, and marvel at the landscape, I'm ready for the return of spring.
If you're in the northern hemisphere, a sun enthusiast, a flower enthusiast, or maybe just a 'I-cant-stand-another-day-of-winter' type, I have some activities to to kick start your spring! First, with a nod to St. Patrick's day, I've included a treasure hunt. The implied message of this exercise is to note that both you and your interests are worthy and valuable and can be appreciated by those around you. Our meditation option honours the return of longer daylight hours while also providing a grounding practice to connect with your body and breath. Our tapping exercise was inspired by the start of Birch tree tapping- typically beginning in March. Some people are lucky enough to try a fresh drink straight from the trunks of the beautiful trees!
For this exercise, I 've included a mini diagram at the end of this post. Each activity stimulates our Vagus Nerve, helping us to step into a 'Ventral Vagal state'.
What I mean by this is: enjoying these activities may help you feel calm, happy, safe, and connected to yourself and those participating with you. Wishing you a wonderful time,
Love, Jennifer
